TO RIDE

Riding a motorcycle is not just practical skills, identifying hazards and how to avoid them is important too.

Mark Phillips, our rider trainer, has grown up riding motorbikes and driving cars and trucks.  He has been a professional driver for 30 years with approx. 2.5 million klms of driving and has a passion for teaching.

Mark has taught Truck drivers, Corporate drivers, Race Car drivers and Advanced Rider Training to name a few in his career as a trainer. He has won State and National titles racing bikes, has experience driving a Rally car and currently owns a Racecar that he loves to drive on the dirt and bitumen whenever he can.

Mark and Jo are bike riders, so Mark understands the importance of being aware of your surroundings and knowing what other drivers are doing.  He teaches riding strategies highlighting the importance of keeping a good safety space and looking and planning well ahead, things that have kept him alive on the road.

REFRESHER COURSE

There are a lot of reasons people choose to do a refresher course, lack of confidence or skill or just want to ride a bike better.  This course will be tailored to suit your needs.

  • You have had a bike licence for years but haven’t ridden a lot recently and you now want to buy a bike.
  • You have had a crash or dropped the bike and have lost all confidence.
  • You did the Pre Learner course but haven’t done a lot of hours or practice on a bike and want to be more prepared for the RE Licence course.
  • Or you just want to come and brush up on road rules and good riding behaviours.

If any of the above reasons sound familiar or any other reasons, give Mark or Jo a call and we can have a chat and match a course that suits your requirements and circumstances.  If you want to test your General knowledge go online and do a Practice Road Rule Test.

Tight turns can be difficult at low speed, so you must look around to where you want to go to when turning tight
A Racetrack is the place to practice fast cornering, full leathers is a must.
